Important: If you're not yet supervising the account where you want to place restrictions, you'll need to do one of the following:

- Create a new account for the child (age 12 and under), or
- Associate their existing Nintendo Account to yours (age 13 and older)
- Set the Nintendo Account as supervised (if it already exists within the family group)

- Nintendo eShop purchase restrictions for Nintendo Switch and the online Game Store can only be set through a parent/guardian’s Nintendo Account in a Nintendo family group.
- A parent/guardian can manage a purchase budget and automatic subscription renewals for any Nintendo Accounts that have been added to or created by the parent/guardian’s account.
Complete these steps
- Log in to your existing parent/guardian Nintendo Account to access your Nintendo Account settings.
- Click Family group.
- A list of all supervised accounts in the family group will appear on the screen. Click the Nintendo Account where you want to manage restrictions.
- Click each setting that you want to adjust:
- Spending/Purchases on Nintendo Switch eShop and the Nintendo website.
Check the box to disable purchases and auto-renewal options on Nintendo Switch AND through the online Game Store.
- Viewing of content on Nintendo Switch eShop.
Check Restrict to restrict the content that can be seen on the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch. Content will automatically be restricted based on the player’s age.
- Spending/Purchases on Nintendo Switch eShop and the Nintendo website.
- Click Save changes to confirm the change.
- You can turn off automatic renewal under Nintendo Switch Online within the Shop Menu in your Nintendo Account settings or under Nintendo Switch Online in Account Information on Nintendo eShop on your device at any time up to 48 hours before the end of the then-current period to avoid the renewal of your subscription and billing of the.
- Nintendo eShop purchase restrictions for Nintendo Switch and the online Game Store can only be set through a parent/guardian’s Nintendo Account in a Nintendo family group.
