The Master of Public Administration (MPA) / Master of Accountancy in Governmental Accounting (MAccy) is a dual degree program designed for pre-career and in-career students to enable them to acquire professional competencies in public administration and governmental accounting within the context of public administration and public financial management. The program is offered jointly by Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA), accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs and Administration (NASPAA), and Rutgers Business School, an AACSB accredited institution. A Master of Professional Accounting can also be obtained from Australian universities to qualify for the Australian CPA, IPA or CA.

This specialty program usually runs one to two years in length and contains from ten to twelve three semester credit courses (30 to 36 semester hours total).
